IG Punjab Abdul Kareem paid rich tribute to supreme sacrifices of police martyrs. We salute the great sons of the soil who sacrificed their lives in the line of duty and their families. IG Punjab
Inspector General of Police Punjab, Abdul Kareem, paid rich tribute to the police martyrs on the occasion of the 07th anniversary of the Lahore Data Darbar suicide attack in which police personnel sacrificed their lives in the line of duty. IG Punjab Abdul Kareem said, “We salute the great sons of the soil who laid down their lives in the line of duty and their families.” Providing details, the Punjab Police spokesperson said that on this day in 2019, five personnel of Punjab Police embraced martyrdom during a suicide attack while performing duty at Lahore Data Darbar. The martyrs included three Head Constables and two Constables.
Punjab Police further said that Head Constables Gulzar Ali, Shahid Nazir, Muhammad Sohail, and Constables Muhammad Saleem and Saddam Hussain embraced martyrdom in the line of duty and attained the esteemed status of martyrdom. IG Punjab Abdul Kareem said that Punjab Police will always remember the great sacrifices of its martyrs, and all necessary measures for the welfare and well-being of the families of martyrs will continue. He further said that the sacrifices of the martyrs are a beacon of guidance for the police force.
