IG Punjab Honors Shaheed SSP Ashraf Marth on His 29th Martyrdom Anniversary
On the 29th martyrdom anniversary of Shaheed SSP Ashraf Marth, IG Punjab Abdul Kareem paid tribute and said that brave and dutiful officers like SSP Ashraf Marth Shaheed are the pride of Punjab Police. He further said that SSP Ashraf Marth Shaheed, through excellent performance of duties and leadership qualities, achieved a distinguished position during his service. Punjab Police will never forget the sacrifices of brave martyrs like SSP Ashraf Marth Shaheed. Providing details, the Punjab Police spokesperson said that SSP Ashraf Marth was martyred on the morning of 06 May 1997 in Gujranwala when unidentified assailants opened fire on him. After the martyrdom of SSP Ashraf Marth, Gujranwala Police Lines were named after him.
