Central Police Office: IG Punjab Abdul Kareem met with under training DSPs of Balochistan Police.

IG Punjab directs effective use of modern technology to improve crime control and service delivery.

Officers undergoing training included in the third Specialized Training Course of Balochistan Police visited the Central Police Office and met Inspector General of Police Punjab Abdul Kareem. The trainee officers included 35 newly recruited DSPs in Balochistan Police. The participants of the course appreciated the outstanding performance of Punjab Police in various fields including crime control, infrastructure development, smart policing, and public service delivery. On this occasion, IG Punjab Abdul Kareem inquired from the officers of Balochistan Police about their training and field experiences.

IG Punjab said that under the Safe Punjab Vision of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, the Punjab police force is being modernized on contemporary lines. He further said that for the promotion of inter-provincial coordination, modern training is being provided to police officers of Balochistan, Sindh, and other provinces. He emphasized that along with field duties, experience in office management and administration is also extremely important for police officers. IG Punjab said that after receiving training from Punjab Police, officers of Balochistan will perform better in their professional careers.

IG Punjab directed the trainee DSPs to complete their training with dedication and commitment and ensure improvement in crime control and public service delivery through the effective use of modern technology. He also guided the officers by giving detailed answers to their questions. The trainee officers briefed IG Punjab about the experiences and observations gained during field training. At the end of the meeting, souvenirs were also exchanged between IG Punjab and the delegation.

Later, the trainee officers visited the Police Museum, Martyrs’ Walls, and various branches at CPO. The participants were briefed about the working of different departments including law and order, crime control, operations, investigation, traffic management, and public service delivery. On this occasion, Additional IG Welfare and Finance Imran Arshad and Additional IG Training Asim Gulzar along with other officers were also present.
