On the directions of Inspector General of Police Punjab Abdul Kareem, foolproof security arrangements were ensured at mosques, Imambargahs, and other religious places across the province including Lahore on the occasion of Friday Congregation, and citizens performed their prayers with complete peace of mind and religious zeal and spirit. Earlier, IG Punjab, while issuing orders to RPOs and DPOs to enhance security arrangements, said that foolproof security must be ensured at mosques, Imambargahs, shrines, markets, and sensitive places. IG Punjab directed that patrolling be increased around mosques, Imambargahs, business centers, and highways. IG Punjab said that maintaining law and order and protecting the lives, properties, and belongings of citizens is the top priority of Punjab Police. In this regard, all DPOs and senior police officers should remain present in the field and personally review the security arrangements. Abdul Kareem further directed that police officers should listen to the problems of citizens in mosques after Friday prayers and take measures for their resolution on the spot. He said that senior officers should hear the issues of citizens at their doorstep through mosques and ensure their resolution.
