Inspector General of Police Punjab Abdul Kareem, along with Secretary Home Punjab Ahmad Javaid Qazi and other senior officers, visited the Katcha area of Rajanpur, where they were given a detailed briefing on the ongoing police operation against Katcha criminals and the current security situation. RPO Dera Ghazi Khan Muhammad Azhar Akram briefed the IG Punjab on operational progress, security measures, and the future strategy. IG Punjab visited Police Post Bahar Machhi established in Katcha Circle Rojhan and reviewed security arrangements at the bunkers, personnel deployment, weapons and ammunition, as well as the surveillance system through thermal drone cameras. He also inspected the surrounding areas of the check post with the help of drone cameras. On this occasion, IG Punjab met the officers and personnel deployed at the police post, highly appreciated their efforts, and also had meals with them. Later, an important meeting was held under the chairmanship of IG Punjab Abdul Kareem and Secretary Home Punjab Ahmad Javaid Qazi, in which the current situation of the Katcha area, law and order, development projects, and future operational strategy were reviewed in detail. The meeting was also attended by MNA Shamshair Khan Mazari, MNA Dr. Hafeez Derishak, and MPA Khizar Khan Mazari.
IG Punjab Abdul Kareem directed RPO DG Khan to take comprehensive measures for the welfare of police officers and personnel deployed in the Katcha area. He said that under the courageous leadership of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz, the Katcha operation has achieved significant success and this successful operation has marked the beginning of a new era of restoration of peace and stability in the area. IG Punjab said that this visit was conducted to review the current situation of the Katcha area and the future operational strategy. He said that the Government of Punjab has announced a special relief package for the improvement of education, health, and infrastructure in the Katcha area. He clarified that those surrendering their weapons will be treated in accordance with the law and no injustice will be done to them; however, those challenging the writ of the state and not surrendering their weapons will be dealt with firmly. IG Punjab Abdul Kareem expressed his resolve that in line with the vision of the Chief Minister Punjab, the Katcha area will be turned into a hub of peace. On this occasion, Special Secretary Home Punjab Faisal Farid, Additional IG South Punjab Muhammad Kamran Khan, Commissioner Dera Ghazi Khan Ashfaq Ahmad Chaudhry, RPO DG Khan Muhammad Azhar Akram, DPO Rajanpur Muhammad Imran, DPO Rahim Yar Khan Irfan Ali Samo, Deputy Commissioner Rajanpur Imran Hussain Ranjha, Deputy Commissioner Rahim Yar Khan Zaheer Ahmad, and other officers were also present.
