IG Punjab orders DPO Sargodha for immediate arrest of the accused involved in the firing,
Inspector General of Police Punjab Abdul Kareem has taken notice of the incident of the killing of three women in a firing over a family dispute in the Melo Wal area of Police Station Miani, Sargodha, and has sought a report from the RPO Sargodha. IG Punjab has ordered the DPO Sargodha for the immediate arrest of the accused involved in the firing and said that all resources should be utilized for the arrest of the accused. Punjab Police spokesperson said that senior officers and forensic teams have reached the scene and collected evidence. DPO Sargodha said that teams have been formed for the arrest of the accused and he will be arrested soon. The accused, who was the step-uncle of the victims, opened fire over a marriage dispute, killing his niece, sister-in-law, and their housemaid before fleeing from the scene.
