Evacuation of illegal Foreign Nationals Continues Across the Punjab
Punjab Police Deports 34,545 Illegal Foreign Nationals Including Afghan Citizens, Spokesperson Punjab Police
The process of evacuation of illegally residing foreign nationals continues across Punjab. In this regard, Punjab Police has so far deported 34,545 illegal foreign nationals, including Afghan citizens, from Lahore and other districts of the province. Currently, 203 illegal residents are present at various holding points. Providing details, the spokesperson of Punjab Police said that those deported include 13,389 men, 6,963 women, and 14,224 children. Among the deported individuals, 10,771 possessed proof of residence, 11,131 were Afghan Citizen Card holders, while 12,643 were illegal foreign residents. Inspector General of Police Punjab, Abdul Kareem, said that security across the province is on high alert and the evacuation of all illegally residing individuals is being ensured. He further said that Punjab Police is implementing the policy of deportation of illegal residents in accordance with international laws.
