LAHORE - Three children were found slaughtered at an apartment located in the Mashaa Allah plaza in the limits of Ichhra police station on Thursday, police and rescue workers said. The victims are said to be slaughtered with a sharp-edge weapon. The rescue workers shifted the bodies to the morgue for autopsy. The police registered the triple murder case and are investigating the incident. The brutal murder of the siblings sent shockwaves across the city, with police launching murder investigation by forming special teams to arrest those responsible. The victims were identified by police as five-year-old Momina Batool, four-year-old Momin Raza, and one-and-a-half-year-old Amna Habiba. According to initial findings, the children were killed with a sharp-edged weapon for reasons yet to be determined. Police officials stated that the parents had locked the house and gone out to purchase medicine, leaving the children alone inside at the time of the incident. Police investigators visited the crime scene, where forensic teams collected evidence.
A special team, led by SP Investigation Model Town has been constituted to trace and arrest the suspects, police said. Meanwhile, Punjab Police Inspector General Abdul Kareem took notice of the incident of the murder of three children in the Ichhra area of Lahore and has sought a report from the CCPO Lahore. A police spokesman said that the IG Punjab ordered the DIG Operations Lahore for the immediate arrest of the accused involved in the murder and said that all resources should be utilized for the quick arrest of the accused. Punjab Police spokesperson said that senior officers and forensic teams have reached the scene and collected evidence. DIG Operations Lahore said that teams have been formed for the arrest of the accused and he will be arrested soon.
