Punjab Police continue search, sweep and combing operations across the province, including Lahore; and in continuation of these efforts, 486 combing operations were conducted across the province during the past 24 hours, during which over 15,000 individuals were questioned, while 175 suspected persons were taken into custody. Punjab Police spokesperson said that during these operations, 2 Kalashnikovs, 1 rifle, 17 pistols, 1 gun and a large number of bullets were recovered from the possession of criminals. Punjab Police spokesperson further said that during the combing operations, 24 drug dealers were also arrested, while 18 kilograms of charas , 2 kilograms of heroin and 327 liters of liquor were recovered from their possession. IG Punjab Abdul Kareem has directed that search, sweep and combing operations against dangerous criminals involved in serious crimes and criminal elements should continue without interruption.
