Police Athletes Shine at Inter-District Athletics Championship 2026
IG Punjab Abdul Kareem Applauds Athletes Securing Top Positions.
The Annual Inter-District Police Athletics Championship 2026 was held under the auspices of Pakistan Police. Teams from Sports Wing Lahore, Dolphin Squad, Investigation Lahore, Telecommunication Lahore, and Elite Force Lahore participated enthusiastically in the championship. Punjab Police spokesperson while providing details, said that various competitions were held during the event, including 100 meters, 400 meters, 1500 meters races, shot put, long jump, and 100 meters relay, in which athletes demonstrated outstanding performance. According to the overall results of the championship, Sports Wing Lahore secured first position, while Investigation Lahore came second and Dolphin Squad stood third.
Inspector General of Police Punjab Abdul Kareem appreciated the excellent performance of the athletes who achieved prominent positions and congratulated them. Chief Sports Officer Athar Ismail Amjad said that talented players are being selected through inter-district tournaments and included in police teams, and in this way, police athletes will also have opportunities in the future to secure their place in national teams.
