IG Punjab Abdul Kareem Met International Athlete Constable Tayyab Gohar, Commends Outstanding Performance

 

 

Inspector General of Police Punjab, Abdul Kareem, met with international athlete Constable Tayyab Gohar from Gujrat Police at the Central Police Office and appreciated his outstanding performance, awarding him a CC-I certificate. IG Punjab said that athletes of Punjab Police are consistently achieving success at national, provincial, and international levels. He said that Constable Tayyab Gohar, through his excellent performance, has brought pride not only to Pakistan Police but also to the country. According to the Punjab Police spokesperson, Constable Tayyab Gohar won gold medals in three categories of a mini marathon held in Bangkok, Thailand. He secured remarkable success in the 3 km, 5 km, and 10 km races, while approximately 1,500 athletes from around the world participated in the event.

 

It is worth mentioning that Constable Tayyab Gohar had earlier won gold medals in the 3 km and 5 km categories in running competitions held in Dubai. He has remained unbeaten in running events at the National Police Games since 2015. Spokesperson further said that Tayyab Gohar holds a Master’s degree in Political Science and joined the Police Department in 2015. IG Punjab reaffirmed his commitment that full support and encouragement will continue for police athletes so that they may keep bringing honor to the nation in the future.
