Senior Police Officers Inspected the Parade While Participating Contingents Presented Salute
On the directions of Inspector General of Police Punjab Abdul Kareem, weekly general parades were held across the province including Lahore. Senior police officers inspected the parade while the participating contingents presented salute. In the general parade, officers and personnel from Police Lines, Dolphin Force, Anti-Riot Force, Traffic Police, Mujahid Squad, SPU, Ladies Police, Investigation Wing and Operations Wing police stations participated enthusiastically.
Punjab Police spokesperson said that during the parade, senior officers checked the turnout of the officers and personnel participating in the parade. The smartly turned-out contingents participating in the general parade presented an impressive march past, while female personnel also took part in the general parade. The spokesperson of Punjab Police further said that general parades are being regularly held across the province every Monday. On this occasion, district officers also inspected the quarter guard, motor transport wing, miscellaneous stores, uniform warehouse and other sections. IG Punjab Abdul Kareem said that the purpose of the general parade is to keep the personnel alert at all times and to promote discipline, unity and a spirit of brotherhood among them. He said that the parade is the best manifestation of the discipline, history, heritage and tradition of any force. Through general parade, officers and personnel maintain their fitness, which further improves the overall performance of the police force.
