LAHORE - Punjab Police has initiated a province-wide behavioural training programme aimed at improving public interaction and professional conduct among its officers. The training drive, launched across Punjab, involves a one-day module focusing on promoting courteous behaviour, polite communication, and respectful engagement with citizens. Officers are being instructed to maintain a dignified tone during all public dealings, including at checkpoints, during FIR registration, and throughout investigation processes. According to official details, the programme also emphasizes the use of respectful forms of address such as “Sir” and “Madam,” and aims to ensure consistent conduct standards at all stages of policing. The initiative includes participation from civil society representatives, who are contributing to efforts to improve professional capacity and ethical practices within the force. So far, around 35,500 police officers and personnel have undergone training under the behavioural module. The programme has been incorporated as a permanent feature of police training, with periodic refresher sessions planned for officers in the future.
