Training Camps Established Across Punjab, Talent Hunt Program Launched to Identify Skilled Players
Under the directives of President of the Pakistan Police Sports Board / Inspector General of Police Punjab Abdul Kareem, Director General Police Sports Board / Additional IG Welfare and Finance Imran Arshad has officially announced the schedule for the annual Inter-District Sports Competitions of Punjab Police. Following the directives of the Director General Police Sports Board, training camps have been formally launched across the province to provide players with the best preparation opportunities. Chief Sports Officer RPO Sheikhupura, Athar Ismail Amjad, while sharing details of the district-level competitions, said that on the basis of competitions at district and unit levels, the best players will be selected to form police teams.
He further said that the police teams thus formed will participate in national and international level competitions, while talented players will also be given opportunities to secure positions in national teams. Punjab Police spokesperson said that these competitions include cricket, archery, baseball, athletics, boxing, kabaddi, bodybuilding, weightlifting, hockey, and other sports. Through the Inter-District tournaments, the best players for each sport will be selected to form strong police teams.
Chief Sports Officer Athar Ismail Amjad further said that the Pakistan Police sports calendar is affiliated with the Olympic Association, and the Talent Hunt Program will continue in all districts across the province to bring new skilled players to the forefront.
