IG Punjab Abdul Kareem Chairs an Important Meeting of Police Executive Board
Discussion on Key Proposals Concerning Policing, Policy Reforms, and Development Initiatives
Directions Issued for the Establishment of New Police Stations, Re-Definition of Jurisdictions, and Timely Completion of Development Projects
Inspector General of Police Punjab Abdul Kareem presided over an important meeting of the Police Executive Board at the Central Police Office. The meeting was attended by all heads of police formations and units, Additional IGs, MD Safe Cities Authority, DIGs, AIGs, and other senior officers, while other officers participated via video link. During the meeting, detailed discussions were held on administrative and policy matters, amendments in rules, and various proposals related to overall policing. Punjab Police spokesperson said that matters concerning the establishment of new sub-divisions and police stations in various districts, re-determination of jurisdictions, and development projects were also discussed. Heads of units presented their observations and concrete proposals regarding the agenda and matters under discussion. IG Punjab Abdul Kareem directed that effective implementation of administrative matters should be ensured and all development projects must be completed within the prescribed timeline.
IG Punjab also instructed that the proposals discussed in the meeting should be further improved and presented in the next meeting. He emphasized that meetings of the Police Executive Board should be held regularly to ensure timely decision-making on important policy matters. The meeting was attended via video link by Additional IG South Punjab, Additional IG CTD, Additional IG PHP, Commandant PC, RPOs Gujranwala, Bahawalpur, Sargodha, CPO Multan, and DPOs Sialkot, Sargodha, and Bahawalpur.
