IG Punjab Abdul Kareem Visited Jinnah Hospital and Inquires About Injured Police Officer.
The funeral prayer of CCD Constable Razaq Dogar, who embraced martyrdom last night due to firing by armed criminals, was offered at Police Lines, Qila Gujjar Singh. The funeral was attended by IG Punjab Abdul Kareem, CCPO Lahore Bilal Siddique Kamyana, Additional IG CCD Sohail Zafar Chattha, DIG CCD Waqas-ul-Hasan, DIG Investigation Lahore Zeeshan Raza, DIG Admin Lahore Imran Kishwar, SP CCD Aftab Phalrawan, along with a large number of senior officers and personnel of CCD and the police.
A smartly turned-out police contingent presented a salute to the mortal remains of martyred Constable Razaq Dogar. IG Punjab Abdul Kareem placed a floral wreath on the coffin and recited Fatiha for the high ranks of soul of the martyr. He also met the martyr’s brother, Aftab Dogar, and his sons, Qasim Ali and Roman Hassan, paying tribute to the immense sacrifice of the martyr. IG Punjab assured that the family of the martyr will not be left alone and that their care and welfare will be fully ensured. Martyred Constable Razaq Dogar is survived by one daughter and two sons.
Subsequently, IG Punjab, along with Additional IG CCD and other senior officers, visited Jinnah Hospital Lahore. IG Punjab inquired about Police Constable Imran Ashraf, who was injured last night in firing by armed criminals, and is currently under treatment.
IG Punjab inquired about the well-being of the injured officer, prayed for his speedy recovery, and appreciated his bravery in performing his duties. He also directed that the injured officer be provided with the best medical facilities. IG Punjab said that the police personnel, who risk their lives without concern for personal safety to protect citizens, are a source of pride.
