Punjab Police continue intelligence-based combing operations across the province, including Lahore

Punjab Police have been carrying out ongoing intelligence-based and combing operations across the province, including Lahore, to further strengthen law and order across the province, including Lahore. Punjab Police spokesperson while sharing details, said that during the current year, 352 intelligence-based operations were carried out across the province, including Lahore, during which 13,967 individuals were questioned, while 99 criminal elements were taken into custody. During these actions, 3 Kalashnikovs, 3 rifles, and 8 pistols were recovered from the possession of miscreants and anti-state elements.
During the current year, 36,139 combing operations were also conducted across the province, in which 1,068,000 individuals were checked and 3,778 criminal and suspicious individuals were taken into custody. During the combing operations, 37 Kalashnikovs, 77 rifles, 714 pistols, 55 guns, 8 revolvers, and a large quantity of ammunition were recovered from the possession of criminal elements.
Inspector General of Police Punjab, Abdul Kareem, said that intelligence-based and combing operations should continue without interruption to hold anti-state and criminal elements accountable. He directed that the process of door-knocking be made more effective and coordinated to suppress terrorists and miscreant elements, so that the protection of life and properties of the public can be ensured.
