Promotion process continues in Punjab Police; Senior Scale Stenographers promoted to the rank of Private Secretary
Promotion Board meeting held under the chairmanship of Additional IG Punjab Imran Arshad; 07 officers promoted
On the directions of Inspector General of Police Punjab Abdul Kareem, the process of promotions in Punjab Police is continuing at a fast pace. In this regard, a Promotion Board meeting was held at the Central Police Office under the chairmanship of Additional IG Punjab Imran Arshad to consider the promotion of Senior Scale Stenographers to the post of Private Secretary. During the meeting, 7 Senior Scale Stenographers, who fulfilled the criteria of merit, seniority, competence, and rules and regulations, were promoted to the post of Private Secretary. AIG Admin Farooq Sultan has issued the formal notification of these promotions.
According to the spokesperson of Punjab Police, among those promoted, 4 officiating Private Secretaries have been regularized, while 3 Senior Scale Stenographers have been promoted to the post of Private Secretary on an officiating basis. Those regularized include Ghulam Fareed, Muhammad Akram, Salamat Ali, and Javed Ali. Those promoted on an officiating basis include Javaid Haider, Hafiz Munir Ahmad, and Allah Rakha. IG Punjab Abdul Kareem congratulated the promoted officers and directed them to perform their duties with greater diligence, integrity, and professional commitment. He said that departmental promotion is an important part of an officer’s career and reflects increased responsibilities. The meeting was also attended by DIG Establishment-II Shariq Kamal Siddiqui, AIG Admin Farooq Sultan, Registrar Humair Ahmad Qureshi, Assistant Director Admin Iftikhar Anwar, and other officers.
