Inspector General of Police Punjab Abdul Kareem, on the occasion of the 17th anniversary of the martyrdom of 5 police martyrs of the Police Training School Manawan Lahore incident, paid glowing tribute to the police martyrs and said that the brave sons who laid down their lives in the line of duty are the pride of the nation and their eternal sacrifices will always be remembered. IG Punjab said that Punjab Police salutes the martyrs and their families. He further said that the sacrifices of police martyrs are a guiding light for the police department and the process of welfare and care of their families will continue. Spokesperson Punjab Police said that on this day in 2009, in the terrorist attack on Police Training School Manawan Lahore, 5 personnel of Punjab Police embraced martyrdom. The martyrs include Constables Rohail Fayaz, Rafiq ur Rehman, Aamir Munir, Shahid Raza and Ghulam Mohi ud Din, who laid down their lives in the line of duty.
