LAHORE - Punjab Inspector General of Police (IGP) Abdul Kareem honoured the police martyrs on the occasion of the eighth anniversary of the seven police martyrs of the Raiwind Lahore incident and said that the brave sons who sacrificed their lives in the line of duty are the pride of the nation and their eternal sacrifices will always be remembered. The IGP said that Punjab Police salute the martyrs and their families. He further said that the sacrifices of police martyrs serve as a guiding light for the police department, and the welfare of their families remains among the top priorities of Punjab Police. A Punjab Police spokesperson said that on this day in 2018, in a suicide attack in Raiwind Lahore, seven officials and personnel of Punjab Police embraced martyrdom while performing their duties. Among the martyrs were 02 sub-inspectors, 02 head constables and 03 constables.
