IG Punjab expresses sympathy with the bereaved family, directs best medical treatment for injured Constable Ikram-ul-Haq
Martyrs of Punjab Police who lay down their lives for the protection of citizens are the pride of the force, IG Punjab
Inspector General of Police Punjab Abdul Kareem has paid rich tribute to the great sacrifice of Gujranwala Police Constable Muhammad Ikram who embraced martyrdom in the line of duty. IG Punjab expressed heartfelt sympathy and condolences to the bereaved family of the martyred official and said that Constable Muhammad Ikram, while protecting citizens, laid down his life and upheld the finest traditions of the police force. IG Punjab Abdul Kareem said that Punjab Police will never leave the families of its martyrs alone and their best welfare is our top priority. He directed the concerned officers to provide every possible cooperation and welfare facilities to the family of martyred Constable Muhammad Ikram.
IG Punjab also directed that the best medical facilities be provided for the treatment of Constable Ikram-ul-Haq who was injured in the incident and said that no negligence should be allowed in the treatment of the injured official. Punjab Police spokesperson while giving details, said that Constable Muhammad Ikram was martyred while protecting citizens during the firing by robbers in Kamoke, while Constable Ikram-ul-Haq was seriously injured.
