LAHORE:Police conducted 63 intelligence-based operations (IBOs) and 609 combing operations across the province, including Lahore, during the past 24 hours, interrogating over 21,700 individuals and taking 135 criminals and suspects into custody amid the prevailing western border situation. According to the Punjab Police spokesperson, during the IBOs, 1,705 individuals were questioned and six criminals were detained. He said that during combing operations, more than 20,000 individuals were interrogated and 129 criminals and suspicious persons were taken into custody. The spokesperson further said that two rifles, 15 pistols, one gun and dozens of rounds of ammunition were recovered from their possession.
