Punjab Police Continues Action against illegally residing foreign nationals across the province.

The process of deportation of foreign nationals illegally residing across Punjab is continuing at a fast pace. While sharing details, the spokesperson of Punjab Police stated that so far more than 32,700 illegally residing foreign nationals, including Afghans, have been deported from Lahore and other parts of the province, while 346 illegal residents are currently present at various holding points. Punjab Police Spokesperson further said that among those deported are 12,357 men, 6,673 women, and 13,700 children. Among those deported, 10,441 were holders of Proof of Residence, 11,098 were Afghan Citizen Card holders, while 11,190 were illegally residing foreign nationals. Inspector General of Police Punjab Abdul Kareem, has said that security is on high alert across the province and the expulsion of all illegally residing individuals is being ensured. He further said that Punjab Police is implementing the policy of expulsion of illegally residing nationals in accordance with international laws, and throughout this entire process, human rights are being fully observed.
