Current Western Border Situation: Punjab Police intensified the Intelligence-Based & Combing Operations across the province.

During 24 hours, 672 operations, 135 suspected and criminal individuals arrested

In view of the current western border situation, Punjab Police has expanded the scope of intelligence-based and combing operations across the province, including Lahore. Providing details, the Spokesperson of Punjab Police said that during the past 24 hours, a total of 672 operations were conducted across the province including Lahore, and 135 suspected and criminal individuals were arrested. A total of 63 intelligence-based operations were conducted during which 1,705 individuals were questioned, while 6 criminal individuals were taken into custody. During the same period, 609 combing operations were also conducted across the province, in which more than 20,000 individuals were checked and 129 criminal and suspected individuals were arrested. During the operations, 2 rifles, 15 pistols, 1 gun and dozens of bullets were recovered from the possession of criminal elements. Inspector General of Police Punjab, Abdul Kareem, has said that intelligence-based and combing operations will continue uninterrupted to hold anti-state and criminal elements accountable. He directed that the process of door-knocking be made more effective to counter terrorists and miscreant elements. IG Punjab said that all resources are being utilized to maintain law and order in the province, and the protection of life and properties of the public is the top priority of Punjab Police.
