Central Police Office: IG Punjab Abdul Kareem Meets Director General Punjab Enforcement and Regulatory Authority (PERA) Captain (R) Farrukh Atiq

 

Inspector General Punjab Abdul Kareem met with Director General Punjab Enforcement and Regulatory Authority Captain (R) Farrukh Atiq at the Central Police Office. During the meeting, DG PERA briefed the IG Punjab on the authority’s objectives, challenges, and notable achievements. IG Punjab said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif, PERA is a remarkable and effective initiative for public welfare. He added that Punjab Police has provided full support to PERA in its formation, human resources, operational, and technical matters.

 

IG Punjab said that PERA is an excellent force to curb encroachments, hoarding, and profiteering. On the directives of the Chief Minister Punjab, over 3,000 police officers and personnel were provided to PERA in Phase One, while additional human resources and advanced training will be provided in Phase Two. He further said that at Police Training College Chung, PERA officers and personnel have received 18 weeks of modern training, while an additional 1,300 sergeants and investigation officers will be provided with state-of-the-art training.

 

IG Punjab assured DG PERA of continued full support in operational, technical, and training matters in the future. On this occasion, DG PERA appreciated the key role of Punjab Police in making the authority active and successful. The meeting was attended by Additional IG Training Khurram Shakoor, DIG IT Mansoor-ul-Haq, DIG Establishment-2 Sharq Kamal, and SP PERA Muhammad Imran.
