Punjab Police Accelerate Deportation of Illegal Foreign Residents

Punjab Police have deported 32,588 illegal foreign nationals, including Afghans, from Lahore and across the province so far. spokesperson of Punjab Police.

Punjab Police are swiftly and effectively carrying out the deportation of illegal foreign nationals across the province, ensuring that the process is conducted in full compliance with international laws. In this regard, a total of 32,588 illegal foreign nationals, including Afghans, have been deported so far, while currently 90 illegal residents remain at various holding points. Punjab Police spokesperson shared that among those deported, there were 12,273 men, 6,661 women, and 13,654 children. Among the deported individuals, 10,419 had proof of residence, 11,098 were holders of Afghan Citizen Cards, while 11,071 were other illegal foreign residents.

IG Punjab Abdul Kareem said that the entire province is under high security alert and that the deportation of all illegal residents is being ensured under all circumstances. IG Punjab further said that Punjab Police is following the policy of deportation of illegal residents in accordance with international laws, and that the entire process is being conducted with full regard for human rights.
