IG Punjab Abdul Kareem Continues Practical Measures for the Welfare of Police Employees and Families of Martyrs.

Immediate Relief Ordered on Applications Related to Promotion, Seniority and Scholarships

Inspector General of Police Punjab Abdul Kareem has maintained regular interactions with police employees and families of martyrs to personally hear and resolve their issues. In continuation of this series, IG Punjab listened to the issues of police employees and families of martyrs and issued on-the-spot orders to the concerned officers for their immediate resolution. According to details, on the applications regarding the promotion of Inspectors Zarrar Ahmad Khan and Matiullah, directions were issued to the Additional IG Punjab to provide relief. On the request of retired DSP Sheikh Fayyaz Ahmad for restoration of seniority, directions were issued to DIG Establishment-I to consider the matter and provide relief in accordance with rules. On the application regarding the educational scholarship of the son of late Sub-Inspector Muhammad Tahir, directions were issued to DIG Welfare and Finance to provide relief. Similarly, on the application submitted by the widow of late Wireless Constable Furqan Ali for a scholarship for her son, directions were issued to DIG Welfare and Finance to provide relief. On the application of ASI Maqsood Shahid regarding hearing of his appeal, orders were issued to DIG Establishment-I to provide relief. On the application regarding payment of benefits to the sister of a martyred constable, directions were also issued to DIG Welfare and Finance to provide relief.

IG Punjab Abdul Kareem also issued orders on other applications related to discipline, administration, promotion and welfare. He said that the dignity, welfare and timely resolution of issues of police employees and families of martyrs are the top priority of the Police Department. Punjab Police spokesperson said that IG Punjab made it clear that personnel of the police force and families of martyrs will not be left alone and their legitimate issues will be resolved on a priority basis.
