Inspector General of Police Punjab Addresses 37th Common Batch

To combat the terrorism, curb the crime from the society, Inspection, internal accountability, merit, discipline and training would be the basic tools for the better policing and the new ASsP should follow these priorities while entering in professional life.
 
This was stated by the Inspector General of Police Punjab, Javed Iqbal while addressing to 37 Trainees of ASsP of 37th Common Batch including 3 female at CPO, today.
 
Additional IGP, Punjab Ch.Tanveer presented welcome address.
 
The provincial Police Chief said that he is proud to be the Chief of the 2nd largest force of the country. He hoped that the new ASsP should focus their attention in curbing the crimes by establishing friendly terms between police and the Public; it would not only boost up people’s confidence but would also enable them to have a sense of security and confidence.Thana has a pivotal role in the police system but they should not misuse of their power.
 
The IGP maintained that the Government was paying special attention towards organizing the police force on modern lines, under which it was being equipped with latest technology and training for ensuring complete protection of people’s lives and properties. He advised the ASsP that easy access of people to the police to the officers should be adopted on every level, under which the quick redress of people’s grievances was being ensured.
 
Addl. IG Operations, Punjab, Rafiq Hassan, Addl. IG Training, Punjab, Sarmad Saeed, Addl. IG Special Branch, Punjab, Nasir Khan Durani, and Addl. IG, Investigation, Punjab, Azam Joyia also gave detailed briefing to the ASsP of their wings.
 
Later on, a shield was also presented to National Police Academy Dy. Commandant, Malik Muhammad Afzal by the IGP.
