Christian Worship & Prayer Programs Held in Churches Across Lahore and the Province; Punjab Police Remained on High Alert

 

On the instructions of Inspector General of Police Punjab, Abdul Kareem, Punjab Police performed security duties while remaining on high alert during Christian worship and prayer programs in churches across Lahore and the province. Earlier, the IG Punjab issued orders to RPOs and DPOs to further enhance the security of churches. He directed that supervisory officers personally visit and check the security arrangements of churches and other important locations. Additional police personnel and snipers were deployed at sensitive churches, while teams of the Dolphin Squad, PRU, and Elite Force ensured effective patrolling around churches. IG Punjab directed that deployed police officers and personnel remain extremely alert and keep a strict watch on miscreant elements. Search and sweep operations around churches, Christian localities, and sensitive locations were also continued. Abdul Kareem said that religious scholars, the Christian community, and members of peace committees should play their effective role in promoting interfaith harmony.
