IG Punjab Abdul Kareem Continues Direct Engagement with Citizens, Taking Feedback on Police Services.

IG Punjab Abdul Kareem Speaks to Citizens via 1787 Complaint Center, Reviews Received Requests and Complaints.

Inspector General Police Punjab Abdul Kareem continued the series of direct engagement with citizens by speaking with them over the phone at the 1787 Complaint Center and conducted a detailed review of received requests and complaints. IGP Punjab Abdul Kareem inquired from citizens regarding police action, investigation standards, conduct, and progress on their requests and issued immediate orders to the concerned officers.

Punjab Police spokesperson shared that in response to a complaint from a citizen of Chakwal against police personnel, IG Punjab directed DPO Chakwal to immediately contact the complainant and take necessary action. Regarding a complaint of poor investigation by a citizen of Faisalabad, IG Punjab ordered SP Iqbal Town Division Faisalabad to provide immediate redress. In response to a request from a woman citizen of Bahawalpur regarding delay in FIR registration, IG Punjab directed DPO Bahawalpur to contact the lady immediately and provide relief.

IG Punjab gave clear instructions that RPOs and DPOs must contact citizens on daily basis and obtain feedback regarding the action taken on requests. IG Punjab said that strict departmental action will be taken for unnecessary delays in FIR registration, poor investigations, and misconduct towards citizens, and no exception will be allowed. IG Punjab further emphasized that all complaints received through the CM Complaint Management System, PM Portal, 1787, and other sources must be resolved promptly according to the prescribed timeline and SOPs.

IGP Punjab Abdul Kareem appealed to citizens to register their complaints at the 1787 Complaint Center in case of any irregularity or misconduct by police personnel, so that timely action could be taken. Additional IG IAB Imran Mehmood and other officers were also present on the occasion.
