In view of the arrival of Ramazan-ul-Mubarak, Punjab Police have been vigorously continuing search operations in Lahore and all districts across the province to ensure foolproof security arrangements throughout Punjab. Punjab Police spokesperson while sharing details, said that during the past 24 hours, a total of 242 search operations were conducted across the province, including Lahore. During these operations, 7,370 individuals were questioned, while 12 criminals were taken into custody. Punjab Police spokesperson further said that so far this year, 16,440 search operations have been conducted across the province. During these operations, more than 688,000 individuals were questioned and 1,951 criminals were arrested. During the search operations, 34 rifles, 375 pistols and 58 guns were recovered from the possession of criminals and suspicious elements. Inspector General of Police Punjab Abdul Kareem, while issuing directions, said that the series of search operations should be continued to ensure effective accountability of anti-state and criminal elements. He also directed full-scale door-knocking to curb terrorists and miscreants.
