17th Death Anniversary of 06 Police Martyrs of Choki Qudrat Ullah Attack in Mianwali; IG Punjab Rao Abdul Kareem Paid rich Tribute to Shaheed Police.
Inspector General of Police Punjab, Rao Abdul Kareem, paid tribute to the 06 police martyrs of the Choki Qudrat Ullah attack in Mianwali on the occasion of their 17th death anniversary. IG Punjab said that he salutes the great brave sons who sacrificed their lives in the line of duty and their families. He said that the memory of the police martyrs of the Choki Qudrat Ullah attack will always remain fresh in our hearts. IG Punjab Rao Abdul Kareem further said that Punjab Police is the custodian force of over 1,700 martyrs and the immortal sacrifices of the martyrs will never be forgotten. Every officer of Punjab Police is playing the role of a frontline force in protecting the country and nation against terrorism.
The welfare of the families of police martyrs is the foremost priority of Punjab Police, and every possible measure is being taken in this regard. According to details, on this very day in 2009, a suicide attack took place at Choki Qudrat Ullah in Mianwali, resulting in the martyrdom of 06 Punjab Police officers and personnel while on duty. The martyrs included 01 ASI, 01 Head Constable, and 04 Constables. The martyrs who sacrificed their lives in the line of duty included ASI Sher Khan, Head Constable Zafar Iqbal, Constable Ghulam Abbas, Constable Yasir Arfat, Constable Muhammad Ilyas, and Constable Bahadur Khan.
