Punjab Highway Patrol Released Performance Report for January 2026
Punjab Highway Patrol (PHP) is actively and effectively engaged across the province’s highways to serve citizens, ensure their safety, and enforce compliance with traffic laws.
Punjab Highway Patrol has released its performance report for the month of January 2026, according to which PHP achieved significant successes in crime prevention, public facilitation, and improving traffic flow through the use of modern technology, effective strategy, and vigilant policing.
Sharing details, the Spokesperson for Punjab Police said that Punjab Highway Patrol arrested 507 proclaimed offenders and court absconders through the e-Police Post App, while 112 stolen vehicles and motorcycles were recovered and handed over to their owners. During the month of January, legal action was taken against 4,356 overloaded vehicles for violations of axle load regulations, while action was taken against 649 vehicles for illegal use of gas cylinders.
For the facilitation of citizens, 42,373 driving licenses were issued, and 34 missing children were traced and reunited with their parents. Similarly, the removal of 972 temporary and permanent encroachments led to improved traffic flow, while 19,395 passengers on highways were provided with various types of assistance and guidance.
Furthermore, 16,506 citizens were provided with various policing services at Police Khidmat Marakaz. Eleven cases were registered for illegal use of weapons, during which 02 Kalashnikov rifles, 09 pistols, and hundreds of rounds of ammunition were recovered. Taking action against drug dealers, 562 liters of liquor were recovered.
