33 hideouts and bunkers of dacoits were destroyed, bringing the total number of surrendered dacoits to 309.
Punjab Police’s successful non-stop operation against dacoits is ongoing in the areas of Umrani, Sukhani, Lund Gang, Lathani, and Katcha Karachi in Rajanpur, aiming to dismantle the dacoits’ network and ensure the protection of public life and properties. DPO Rajanpur, Muhammad Imran, shared that during the operation, drone-based firing was conducted on dacoits’ hideouts, resulting in the surrender of 98 highly wanted gang members, including notorious dacoit Sabz Ali Umrani, who carried a bounty of one crore rupees. Among the surrendered, 8 dacoits had bounties declared on their heads by the Government of Punjab. The arrested dacoits were wanted in dozens of cases, including kidnapping, murder, and robbery.
DPO Muhammad Imran further said that the total number of surrendered dacoits has now reached 309, and they will be punished according to the law. The police have also destroyed 33 hideouts and bunkers of the dacoits. Other dacoits are being warned by the police to surrender themselves or face elimination. IG Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, and RPO Dera Ghazi Khan have instructed the Rajanpur Police to continue successful operations against Katcha criminals and ensure the protection of the public.
