IG Punjab Chairs Video Link Orderly Room, Approves Appeals of Sub-Inspectors Denied Promotions

Appeals of 46 sub-inspectors approved; cases to be considered in the upcoming promotion board

Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, chaired a video link Orderly Room held at the Central Police Office. DIG Establishment-I, Suleman Sultan Rana, and AD Establishment, Abida Mazhar, were also present at the venue. During the session, 105 sub-inspectors serving in various districts, units, and wings across Punjab participated via video link. Punjab Police spokesperson said that during the Orderly Room, officers who had been denied promotions in previous promotion boards presented their appeals and requests. After a detailed review, the appeals of 46 sub-inspectors were approved, and their cases will be considered in the upcoming promotion board. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar said that promotions in Punjab Police continue uninterrupted on the basis of merit, seniority, and transparency. He emphasized that a transparent career record, complete service record, field experience, and intelligence reports are all crucial factors in officers’ promotions. He directed the officers eligible for promotion to complete their ACRs and other service record and to continue serving the country and nation with honesty and dedication.
