A total of 105 most-wanted criminals have surrendered to police, bringing the overall number of surrenders to 176. Lahore / Rahim Yar Khan / Rajanpur, 23rd January 2026:
Punjab Police and Military Intelligence have achieved remarkable successes during joint and coordinated operations in the Kacha areas. Non-stop operations against dangerous criminal gangs in the Katcha regions of Rahim Yar Khan and Rajanpur are ongoing with full intensity. Punjab Police spokesperson shared the details that, as a result of effective action by Rahim Yar Khan Police, 24 dangerous members of the notorious Indhar gang have surrendered to the police. DPO Rahim Yar Khan, Irfan Ali Samoon, said that among those surrendering were the highly wanted criminals Shera Korai and Shahid Indhar, each with a bounty of PKR 5 million, who had long been wanted by police for heinous crimes. He further said that the ongoing operation in the Katcha area is progressing successfully, and as a result, the law-and-order situation across the entire district will further improve. He clarified that criminals have no option other than surrendering; facing the law is the only solution.
Similarly, in Rajanpur’s Katcha Umrani, Sukhani, and Katcha Karachi areas, 81 more most-wanted criminals surrendered to the police during the ongoing operations. Punjab Police spokesperson said that during the operation, the criminals’ hideouts were targeted with drone-fired shells, which prompted members of various criminal gangs to surrender out of fear of casualties. DPO Rajanpur, Muhammad Imran, shared that among those surrendering were the notorious criminal Mujib Lund, with a bounty of PKR 10 million; Matara Sukhani, PKR 5 million; Nawab Sukhani, PKR 2.5 million; Isa Lund, PKR 5 million; and his associate Yaqoob Lund. As a result of the Rajanpur operation, the total number of criminals who have surrendered to the police has now reached 176, including five extremely wanted criminals with bounties of PKR 10 million.
During the police operations, 27 hideouts and bunkers of criminals have been destroyed so far, and intense exchanges of fire occurred at various locations between police and criminals. The arrested and surrendered criminals were wanted for kidnapping for ransom, murder, robbery, and other heinous crimes, and they will be dealt in accordance with the law. Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, commended the Rahim Yar Khan and Rajanpur police for their continuous, successful, and effective operations against Katcha criminals and praised the teams for successful operations. IG Punjab and RPO Dera Ghazi Khan have directed that successful operations against criminals in the Katcha areas be continued even more effectively.
