Under the directions of Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, Punjab Police’s crackdown against dangerous fugitives who had fled abroad is continuing effectively. In continuation of this operation, during a joint action by Punjab Police and Interpol, another dangerous fugitive was extradited from abroad. Punjab Police spokesperson provided details, said that the fugitive Muhammad Asadullah had been wanted by Bhakkar Police for the last two years. Punjab Police issued a Red Notice against the suspect through Interpol, following which, through close coordination with Dubai Police, the fugitive was arrested at Dubai Airport. The arrested fugitive Muhammad Asadullah was later handed over to Bhakkar Police.
IG Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, congratulated the RPO Sargodha, DPO Bhakkar, and the police team on the successful arrest of the fugitive abroad, IG Punjab said that legal proceedings will be completed soon to ensure the suspect receives due punishment as per law. IG Punjab further directed that, with the assistance of FIA and Interpol, other dangerous fugitive suspects should also be apprehended and brought back to the country so that criminal elements are brought to justice.
