An Additional Amount of 1.75 Million Rupees Released for Medical Expenses of Injured Officers from Lahore and Other Districts
Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, is committed to providing the best medical treatment for officers injured in the line of duty. In continuation of this initiative, an additional amount of 1.75 million rupees has been released for the medical expenses of injured police officers from Lahore and various other districts. Punjab Police spokesperson provided details, said that 500,000 rupees have been released for the treatment of injured Constable Tasawar Abbas. Injured Driver Constable Babar Hussain has been provided 500,000 rupees, while injured ASI Abdul Jabbar has been given 300,000 rupees. Similarly, injured Constable Abid Hussain has received 150,000 rupees, and injured Constable Ihsan ul Haq has been provided 100,000 rupees for medical expenses. Injured Sub-Inspector Ghulam Mohiuddin and Constables Zubair Siddiq, Haseel Ghafoor, and Gohar Amin have collectively been provided 200,000 rupees for medical treatment.
The release of funds was approved by the Compensation Award Committee chaired by Additional IG Welfare and Finance Imran Arshad. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar said that thousands of police officers and personnel have been injured while protecting the lives and properties of citizens. Providing the best medical treatment and ensuring the swift recovery of these officers is a top priority. He added that Punjab Police spends 22 million rupees daily on the health and welfare of its employees and their families. IG Punjab also instructed supervisory officers to leave no stone unturned in ensuring the best health and welfare for the injured officers.
