Punjab Police Rajanpur’s non-stop operation against dangerous dacoits in the Katcha Umrani, Sukhani, and Katcha Karachi areas is continuing effectively. According to the spokesperson of Punjab Police, during the operation, drone-assisted shelling is being carried out on the hideouts of the dacoits. Fearing elimination during the police operation, 41 more highly wanted dacoits of the Umrani gang surrendered before Punjab Police. With this, the total number of dacoits who have surrendered in Rajanpur has reached 95. Those who surrendered include four notorious dacoits with head money of Rs. 10 million each: Atta Ullah Putt, Dado Bangiyani, Gora Umrani, and Wahab Lound. In addition, a dangerous dacoit with head money of Rs. 2.5 million, Waqar alias Waqari Umrani, has also surrendered to the police. The surrendered dacoits presented themselves before the police along with heavy weapons.
The arrested dacoits were wanted by police in dozens of heinous cases including kidnapping, murder, and robbery. DPO Rajanpur Muhammad Imran stated that the arrested dacoits will be punished strictly in accordance with the law. During the operation, several hideouts and bunkers of the dacoits were destroyed, while intense exchange of fire between the police and the dacoits also continued. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar appreciated Rajanpur Police for the successful operations against Katcha criminals and said that Punjab Police will continue operations until the complete elimination of criminal elements.
