Punjab Police Launch Grand Operation Against Katcha Criminals; 18 More Highly Wanted Dacoits Surrender
Notorious Dacoit Wahab Lund with Rs 10 Million Head Money Among Surrendering Criminals.
Total 29 Dacoits Surrender With Weapons to Police in Two Days.
Punjab Police Rajanpur’s operation against Katcha criminals is continuing successfully. During the Katcha operation of Rajanpur Police, 18 more highly wanted dacoits surrendered before the police along with their weapons. Punjab Police spokesperson while sharing details, said that those who surrendered include notorious dacoit Wahab Lund, carrying a head money of Rs 10 million, along with ringleader dacoits of various gangs. Notorious dacoit Shahideen Lund, carrying a head money of Rs 05 million, is also among those who surrendered. Earlier, as a result of a successful operation by Rajanpur Police yesterday, 11 dacoits had also surrendered before the police along with their weapons. Punjab Police spokesperson further said that during the Rajanpur Police Katcha operation, the total number of dacoits who surrendered over two days has reached 29.
DPO Rajanpur Muhammad Imran said that the surrendered dacoits were wanted in cases of police personnel’s martyrdom, murder, kidnapping for ransom, robbery, and other serious crimes. DPO Rajanpur further said that the arrested dacoits will be awarded punishment in accordance with the law. Punjab Police’s grand operation is continuing in the areas of Katcha Karachi and Katcha Umrani, where dacoits’ hideouts are being targeted with the help of drones. He said that during the operation, most of the dacoits’ hideouts have been destroyed, while several dacoits have been seriously injured. RPO Dera Ghazi Khan Azhar Akram, while delivering a clear message, said that dacoits must surrender at all costs; otherwise, strict action will be taken. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar has appreciated the performance of Rajanpur Police and commended them for achieving continuous successes against Katcha criminals.
