On the directions of Inspector General of Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar, weekly general parades were held across the province including Lahore. Senior police officers inspected the parade, while the contingents participating in the parade presented salutes. Officers and personnel from Police Lines, Dolphin Force, Anti-Riot Force, Traffic Police, Mujahid Squad, SPU, Ladies Police, Investigation Wing, and Operations Wing of police stations participated actively in the general parade.
Punjab Police spokesperson said that during the parade, senior officers also checked the turnout of the officers and personnel participating in the parade. Smart and well-prepared contingents of personnel taking part in the general parade performed an impressive march past, while female personnel also participated in the general parade. Punjab Police spokesperson further said that general parades are being held regularly every Monday across the province. On this occasion, district officers also inspected the Kot, Motor Transport Wing, miscellaneous stores, uniform warehouses, and other relevant departments.
IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar said that the purpose of the general parade is to keep personnel alert at all times and to promote discipline, unity, and an atmosphere of brotherhood among them. He said that the parade is the best reflection of the discipline, history, heritage, and tradition of any force. Through the general parade, officers and personnel maintain their fitness, which further improves the overall performance of the police force.
