Major Success by Punjab Police Rajanpur Against Katcha Criminals; 11 Dangerous Dacoits Surrender to Police
Targeted Operation in Kacha Umrani and Sukhani; Dacoits’ Hideouts and Bunkers Destroyed
IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar Commends Rajanpur Police; Directs Continuation of Zero-Tolerance Policy
Punjab Police Rajanpur achieved a major and significant success against Katcha criminals by conducting an effective and targeted operation against dacoits in the areas of Kacha Umrani, Sukhani, and Kacha Karachi. According to the spokesperson of Punjab Police, during the operation, Rajanpur Police used modern technology and carried out drone strikes on the dacoits’ hideouts, as a result of which several hideouts and bunkers were completely destroyed. Due to the sustained pressure and successful strategy of Rajanpur Police, 11 highly dangerous dacoits of the most-wanted Umrani gang surrendered before the police. The surrendered dacoits handed over their weapons along with heavy arms to the police.
DPO Rajanpur Muhammad Imran stated that the arrested dacoits were wanted by the police for a long time in cases of kidnapping, murder, robbery, and other heinous crimes. He added that all legal requirements would be fulfilled to ensure exemplary punishment for the arrested accused. While warning other criminal elements, the DPO Rajanpur said that they should surrender voluntarily; otherwise, they would face strict police operations. In some areas, an intense exchange of fire between Rajanpur Police and dacoits is still ongoing. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar praised the professional performance of Rajanpur Police for compelling the dangerous dacoits to surrender and awarded them commendation. He said that operations against criminal elements across the province would continue indiscriminately under the zero-tolerance policy.
The surrendered Katcha criminals include: Muhammad Jameel son of Faqeera, caste Qaisrani; Yousaf Khan son of Murad, caste Umrani; Abdul Rasheed son of Murad, caste Umrani; Liaqat Ali son of Chheena Khan, caste Qaisrani; Ghulam Abbas son of Malho Khan, caste Umrani; Abdul Ghaffar son of Bakhsal Khan, caste Umrani; Muhammad Afzal son of Hathaan, caste Umrani; Hafiz Mureed son of Muhammad Jamal; Naseer Ahmed son of Sehwa; Mera Khan son of Naseer Ahmed, caste Umrani; and Bhatta son of Pathan.
