Punjab Police Khidmat Marakaz Actively Providing Digital Services to Citizens
In just the first 17 days of the current year, more than 170,000 citizens availed services from Police Khidmat Marakaz across the province.
Punjab Police Khidmat Marakaz are actively engaged in providing modern and digital policing facilities to citizens. A spokesperson for Punjab Police, while sharing details, stated that during the first 17 days of the current year, more than 170,000 citizens availed various policing services from Police Khidmat Marakaz established across the province. A total of 76,807 citizens obtained general police verification, while police character certificates were issued to more than 39,431 citizens. Similarly, 25,107 citizens benefited from tenant registration services, and 4,337 citizens were provided medico-legal certificates.
According to the Punjab Police spokesperson, under special initiatives for vulnerable segments of society, legal and social protection was provided to 4,943 individuals, while 1,975 citizens obtained vehicle verification services. It was further stated that 4,851 citizens registered reports of lost documents, and 93 crime reports were registered. Likewise, 7,215 citizens obtained copies of FIRs, while 3 women violence reports were registered. The spokesperson further added that 5,185 citizens completed employees registration (ROPE), while 84 citizens availed police verification services for private employment.
Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, stated that Police Khidmat Marakaz are a flagship project of public service delivery, where citizens are being provided quality services round the clock (24/7). He further said that millions of citizens, including those in Lahore and across the province, are benefiting monthly from the services of Police Khidmat Marakaz, and that services are being further upgraded in light of citizens’ feedback.
