Punjab Police Intensifies Action Against Organized Criminal Gangs Across Province
In 16 days, 210 members of 95 criminal gangs have been taken into custody, with weapons, ammunition and stolen assets recovered.
Punjab Police continues to conduct vigorous and effective operations against organized criminal gangs across the province including Lahore. Over the past 16 days, 210 members of 95 gangs have been arrested. According to Punjab Police spokesperson, stolen property valued at over PKR 30 million was recovered from the suspects’ possession. Punjab Police spokesperson further said that during the operations, 32 Kalashnikovs, 54 rifles, 1,122 pistols, 90 shotguns, 23 revolvers, and thousands of rounds of ammunition were recovered from the possession of the suspects. IG Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, has instructed that operations against criminal elements across the province be accelerated and strengthened. He assured that the safety of citizens’ lives and property will be fully protected, and the zero-tolerance policy against offenders will remain in force.
