Promotion Process Continues in Punjab Police This Year as Well
Promotion Board Meeting Held Under the Chairmanship of Additional IG Imran Arshad; Promotions Approved on Merit
Senior Scale Stenographers and Superintendents in Punjab Police Promoted to Next Ranks, says Punjab Police Spokesperson
On the directions of Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, the promotion process in Punjab Police is continuing this year as well. A meeting of the Promotion Board was held at the Central Police Office under the chairmanship of Additional IG Punjab, Imran Arshad. DIG Establishment-II Captain (R) Liaqat Ali Malik, AIG Admin & Security Asad Ejaz Mallhi, Registrar Hamair Ahmad Qureshi, and Assistant Director Admin Iftikhar Anwar were also present in the meeting. Punjab Police spokesperson stated that cases for promotion from Office Superintendent to Assistant Director and from Senior Scale Stenographers to Private Secretary were considered in the meeting. For promotion to the post of Assistant Director, cases of 38 Office Superintendents were presented, while for the post of Private Secretary, cases of 21 Senior Scale Stenographers were reviewed. Officers meeting merit and rules & regulations were promoted to the next ranks. Overall, the Promotion Board approved promotions for 15 officers.
The spokesperson further said that 8 Senior Scale Stenographers were promoted to the post of Private Secretary, of whom 4 were promoted on a regular basis, while 1 and 3 officers were directed to continue on an officiating basis. Similarly, 7 Superintendents were promoted to the post of Assistant Director, including 1 on a regular basis, while 1 and 5 officers were instructed to perform duties on an officiating basis.
After approval by the IG Punjab, AIG Admin & Security Asad Ejaz Mallhi issued the promotion notifications. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar congratulated the promoted officers and directed them to perform their duties with greater dedication and professional commitment.
