Punjab Police Committed for the best Health Welfare of Its Force and Their Families
Over PKR 2.35 million Released for the Treatment of Police Employees and Their Families.
Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, is committed to the health welfare of the police force and their families. In continuation of this commitment, over PKR 2.35 million have been released for the treatment of police employees and their families. Punjab Police spokesperson, while giving details, said that Constable Javed Iqbal was provided funds of PKR 500,000 for the treatment of a heart condition. Sub-Inspector Riyasat Ali was provided PKR 325,000 for surgery. Head Constable Muhammad Asif was given PKR 250,000 for his wife’s treatment. Constable Bilal Hassan received PKR 235,000 for surgery. Head Constable Imran Asghar was provided PKR 150,000 for treatment of a brain tumor.
Similarly, ASIs Ali Hamza, Mumtaz Hussain, and Security Constable Ghulam Mustafa were provided PKR 100,000 each for treatment. Head Constables Kamran Aslam, Amir Muhammad Khan, and Driver Constable Muhammad Zubair were each provided PKR 100,000 for treatment. Constables Shair Bahadur and Saqib Khan were provided a total of PKR 150,000 for treatment. Head Constables Awais Ahmad, Tariq Javed, and Supervisor Rab Nawaz were provided a total of PKR 140,000 for treatment.
Punjab Police spokesperson further said that IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar approved the release of these funds after scrutiny by the Medical Financial Assistance Committee. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar said that over PKR 27 million are spent daily on the welfare of the Punjab Police force and their families, while a total of PKR 7.5 billion were spent last year across all districts, including CPO, for the welfare of the force. IG Punjab further said that under MOUs with various institutions, police employees are also being provided with the best medical treatment facilities.
