Punjab Police Committed for best Health Welfare of Its Force and Their Families

Punjab Police Allocates Over 27.35 Lakh Rupees for Medical Treatment of Employees and Families.

Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, is committed to the health welfare of the police force and their families. In continuation of this commitment, more than 27 lakh 35 thousand rupees have been released for the treatment of police employees and their families. Punjab Police spokesperson, while giving details, said that Constable Mumtaz Ali was provided 7 lakh 55 thousand rupees for his son's hearing treatment. Office Superintendent Muhammad Arshad was given two and a half lakh rupees for his wife's cancer treatment. Similarly, ASI Tariq Mehmood was provided 2 lakh 30 thousand rupees for his wife's cancer treatment. Ghazi Inspector Muhammad Ijaz was given 2 lakh rupees for brain surgery. Constables Abdul Nafay, Amir Arshad, and Atta ur Rehman were provided one lakh rupees each for medical treatment.

Similarly, Retired DSP Sabtain Bukhari, Lady Inspector Nasreen Akhtar, and Driver Constable Faiz Ahmad were also provided one lakh rupees each for medical treatment. Ghazi Sub Inspector Muhammad Sarfraz, Constables Imtiaz Ahmad, and Shahzad Ahmad were given one lakh rupees each for treatment. Head Constable Qamar ud din, Junior Patrolling Officer Abdul Hanan, and Driver Constable Mazhar Hussain were provided a total of two and a half lakh rupees for medical treatment. Lady Constable Samina Naz and the widow of late Sanitary Worker Asif Iqbal were provided a total of one and a half lakh rupees for treatment.

Punjab Police spokesperson further said that IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar approved the release of funds after scrutiny by the Medical Financial Assistance Committee. Dr. Usman Anwar said that more than 2 crore 70 lakh rupees are being spent daily on the welfare of the Punjab Police force and their families, while last year a total of seven and a half billion rupees were spent on the welfare of the force across all districts including CPO. IG Punjab further added that under MOUs with various institutions, employees are being provided with the best medical treatment facilities.
