Punjab Highway Patrol issued Annual Performance Report

 

Punjab Highway Patrol (PHP) is actively working across the province to ensure public service, safety of citizens, and strict compliance with traffic laws on highways. Punjab Highway Patrol has issued its Annual Performance Report for the year 2025, according to which PHP achieved significant successes in crime prevention, public facilitation, and smooth traffic flow through the use of modern technology and effective strategies.

Punjab Police spokesperson while sharing the details, said that through the E-Police Post App, 5,937 proclaimed offenders and court absconders were arrested, while 3,139 stolen vehicles and motorcycles were recovered and handed over to their owners. During the year 2025, legal action was taken against more than 502,000 overloaded vehicles for axle load violations, while action was taken against more than 14,000 vehicles for the illegal use of gas cylinders. For public facilitation, more than 300,000 driving licenses were issued, and 527 missing children were traced and reunited with their parents. The removal of 84,000 temporary and permanent encroachments improved traffic flow, and 182,000 passengers were provided with various types of assistance and guidance on highways.

Similarly, 246,000 citizens were provided with various policing services at Police Khidmat Markaz. During actions against illegal weapons, 590 cases were registered, resulting in the recovery of 36 Kalashnikovs, 89 rifles, 442 pistols, and thousands of rounds of ammunition. Against drug dealers, 1,146 cases were registered, leading to the recovery of 14,226 liters of liquor, 62 kilograms of charas, 04 kilograms of opium, and 1.45 kilograms of ice. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar appreciated the outstanding performance of Punjab Highway Patrol. IG Punjab praised PHP officers & personnel, and directed them to continue performing their duties with the same spirit, dedication, hard work, and sincerity to ensure smooth traffic flow, public service, and safety.
