The year 2025 proved to be a memorable year for fast-track promotions of Punjab Police officers and personnel

 

The year 2025 proved to be a prominent and memorable year in the history of Punjab Police with regard to fast-track promotions of officers and personnel. Punjab Police spokesperson said that during the year 2025, more than 6,000 officers and personnel were promoted to the next ranks, reflecting the vision of IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar, transparent policies, and commitment to the welfare of the force. According to details, 38 DSPs were promoted to the rank of SP, while 191 Inspectors were promoted to the rank of DSP. Similarly, 46 Senior Traffic Wardens were promoted to the rank of Traffic Officer, while 1,047 Sub-Inspectors were promoted to the rank of Inspector.

Furthermore, 907 ASIs were promoted to Sub-Inspector, 1,054 Head Constables to ASI, and 2,562 Constables to the rank of Head Constable.

The promotion process for departmental staff also continued, under which 26 Junior Clerks, 02 Stenographers, 07 Senior Scale Stenographers, 19 Assistants, 80 Senior Clerks, 01 Private Secretary, and 01 Assistant Director were promoted to the next ranks. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar personally conferred the new ranks on the promoted officers as a mark of honor and congratulated all promoted officers and personnel. IG Punjab said that during the past nearly three years, more than 30,000 record departmental promotions have been granted in Punjab Police. He further added that the advance schedule of promotion boards to be held next year has also been finalized.

IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar said that the promotion and service structure of Punjab Police officers has been upgraded to further boost the morale of the force. He directed officers and personnel awaiting promotion to ensure timely completion of their ACRs and other service records.
