LAHORE : A ceremony was held at the Central Police Office to award promotion ranks to officers elevated to the rank of Inspector. The IGP Punjab conferred rank badges on 44 promoted officers, including 21 from Multan Region and 23 from Bahawalpur Region. Families of the promoted officers attended the ceremony. Addressing the gathering, the IGP said that in 2025, like the previous year, remained a year of fast-track promotions, with 1,047 Sub-Inspectors promoted to Inspector through seven promotion boards. He added that promotion boards will be convened early next year to promote more than 100 more officers, with the promotion schedule already finalised. He directed promotion-eligible officers to complete all required courses, service records and ACRs, and urged officers to serve citizens with dignity, courtesy and professionalism. Inspectors Jibran Gerard of the Christian community and Shaman Ram of the Hindu community from Bahawalpur Region were also awarded promotion ranks.
